Romans 6:6-8

⁶ knowing this, that our old man was crucified together with him, in order that the body of sin may be done away with, that we may no longer be enslaved to sin. ⁷ For the one who has died has been freed from sin.

⁸ Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him,
